YDSC Swim Squad fees commencing November 2011

Annual Subscription

The Annual Subscription for all swimmers is £35 per member. Part of this membership fee will be paid over to the ASA to cover the swimmers membership and registration. This payment will be collected annually for each swimmer and is a separate fee to the monthly direct debit.

The Amateur Swimming Association is the English national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water and synchronised swimming. It organises competitions throughout England, establishes the laws of the sport and operates certification and education programmes for teachers, coaches and officials as well the Learn To Swim Awards scheme. All swimmers who are learning to swim or enter National, District, County or Local Association Championships or Competitions, Open Meets or Swimming Leagues must register with the A.S.A. before they compete. For competitions of this type you will need an A.S.A. number for your entry form.

There are three categories of membership and all YDSC swimmers have to be ASA members.

MONTHLY FEES

The monthly fees are dependant on the swim squad that your child is in. Your child will have access to the sessions for this squad or group. You will be informed of the changes in fees when your child moves from squad to squad.

Please note that fees are payable (divided into 12 equal payments) throughout the full year. YDSC does not swim in August or at Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays.

 

 

FAMILY DISCOUNTS

If a swimmer in the family is a member of the Wasps, Puma 1, Puma 2 or Lynx squads then any other family member’s fees will be subject to a minor discount. The full fee is payable for the child in the swim squad paying the highest fee.

 

MASTERS CRITERIA

1.    Individual will make themselves available for team selection for club events.

2.    For 16 years and above entry only

3.    Masters swimmers agreed by head coach discretion only.

4.    A Maximum of two sessions per week by agreement with head coach.

 

SWIM FEES (OCCASIONAL SWIMMER / UNIVERSITY HOLIDAYS) POLICY 12

 

 

1.      The Committee can, by a majority vote, agree individual swim fee arrangements for individual club swimmers with specific individual needs.

2.      The Committee shall consider all requests on their own merit and any decision shall not set any precedent for future requests.

3.      Those swimmers making a contribution to the club through committee membership or coach / teacher roles will be considered favourably under this policy for holiday time swimming only.

4.      Those Swimmers wishing to swim with YDSC during holidays from university will be required to pay £94.50 per year to cover this arrangement. This will be paid in one payment in September of each swim year. This fee is non-refundable and allows the swimmer to swim at the head coaches discretion during the holiday period of the university. If the swimmer also wants to swim in term time, standard club fees will apply throughout the year.

5.      Fee agreements (including point 4 above) do not include the payment of ASA registration fees (currently £35 per year) these are the responsibility of the individual swimmer. These are required to be paid in October each year directly to the ASA.

 

SWIMMERS FROM OTHER CLUBS

 

From time to time swimmers registered with other clubs request to swim with YDSC. This is only agreed through the head coach and only if the swimmer can be accommodated. This is set at one session per week only and the charge for Junior / Senior Development applies. This would be for a limited time of three months and then would require review through the committee.
